The Eudlo Music Nights Program for 12 and 13 October 2019 is now available below in it second draft form.
We reserve the right, to make changes to the Program.
It is chock-a-block with great acts. There are 2 stages and a workshop shed. We start Saturday at 12pm and finish Sunday at 2pm. At this stage all of the acts have confirmed. Interested performers can contact us with the usual support information, but there are unlikely to be booked spots. Which of course is why we have the Open Mics and Unplugged Jams as a feature of the event. Spots can be booked for the Open Mic (see the program below or Bookings for available times) and performers will be allowed 2 songs (or perhaps 3) per act.
In the spirit of Woodstock, imagine a concert for peace It’s been 50 years since Woodstock – four days of “Peace, Love and Understanding” attended by half a million people, on a 600 acre farm in upstate New York. That message is probably even more important today as we see governments the world over using the politics of hate and divisiveness to get themselves re-elected. Woodstock was all about loving your fellow man and uniting in a shared dream of a greater good. It was the amazing confluence of some of the world’s greatest acts. The weather was foul and the music continued through the night. There was little sleep being had but it didn’t matter. It was people sharing a love for great music and for humankind. The Eudlo Music Nights celebrated the music of the Woodstock generation with a Return to Woodstock concert at the April 2019 EMN festival. In a similar vein (with the threat of war an ongoing theme with some of our world leaders), we are presenting: Imagine, a Concert for Peace, to open our next EMN festival on Saturday, October 12 on the Shed stage. Along with songs of Lennon and Dylan, guitarist Peter G, inspired by Jimi Hendrix's version of the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock, will present a version of it to end this concert, but will use the New Zealand Anthem as its theme. Peter contends that New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is one of the few present world leaders standing for "Peace, Love and Understanding". Join us for an uplifting concert to open a festival inspired by Peace, Love and Joy
